EASTLAKE, Ohio — Eastlake Police have issued an arrest warrant for the man they say shot a Cleveland man in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart.

According to Eastlake Police Chief Larry Reik, an arrest warrant for Joshua Baughman was issued on Wednesday. Baughman is wanted for allegedly shooting a man Monday evening in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart located on Vine Street.

According to Reik, around 11:00 p.m. Monday, Eastlake Police responded to Lake West Hospital after being alerted by the hospital that a 27-year-old Cleveland man had been shot in the parking lot.

Reik says the victim drove himself to the hospital after the shooting claiming to have been shot while in the passenger seat of his vehicle.

The victim told police that he pulled into a parking spot to go shopping when an unknown man hopped into the passenger side of his vehicle.

Police believe that man was Baughman.

The alleged victim told police that the suspect then began demanding that he hand over, “Everything he had”. The alleged victim was then shot in the side of the chest.

According to Reik, the suspect then ran from the scene.

Reik says that Baughman has no current specific address, but is known to be in the Western Lake County area.

Baughman is considered armed and dangerous and police ask that the public not try to apprehend him.

If you see Baughman please cal the Eastlake Police Department at 440 951-1400.
