OAKLAND — The Cleveland Indians had a tough time facing the Oakland Athletics’ Bartolo Colon on Saturday, who mastered from the hill.

Colon would only give up five hits and a run over eight innings pitched.

The A’s bats were hot as well, as the team cracked a scoreless game in the bottom of the third.

Oakland got a ground out RBI from Josh Donald, an RBI double from Josh Reddick and a solo home run from Yoenis Cespedes to take the 4-0 lead.

The Tribe’s Carlos Santana showed up to hit in the top of the seventh with a solo homer, only to have the A’s match the run at the bottom of the inning.

Oakland had secured an 8-1 lead before the Indians took advantage of the opposition’s bullpen in the ninth.

Even after tallying an extra four runs, Cleveland could not catch up and lost the game.

The final score was 8-5.

The last game of the series starts at 4:05 p.m. on Sunday.
