AKRON, Ohio — Former presidential candidate Rick Santorum plans to visit Akron on behalf of Mitt Romney Wednesday, according to Romney’s campaign team.

Santorum will be speaking at the Grove City Victory Center located at 532 West Market Street at 3:00 p.m.

The former candidate last visited Akron last spring as an opponent of Romney vying for the GOP nomination. Now, he is expected to discuss President Barack Obama’s health care law, taxes and spending and other hot button issues.

Prior to the Akron visit, Santorum is planning a pit stop in Cleveland to visit the Feast of Assumption at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
