CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are investigating the murders of a woman and child.

It happened just before 11 p.m. Monday on Hillview Road, according to Sgt. Sammy Morris, Public Information Officer for the Cleveland Division of Police.

Morris said officers were called to a home on reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they found 24-year-old Demar Perry, 22-year-old Nakisha Jackson and 6-year-old Kammia Perry dead. Investigators believe Perry forced Jackson and Kammia outside the home where he shot them, then turned the gun on himself.

Police say there were three other people in the home at the time of the shooting. They were not hurt.

According to Morris, the man is the ex-boyfriend of the victim and the father of the little girl. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the victims’ names.
