CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting on the city's east side, where three people were killed.

It happened at around 10 a.m. at Imperial Auto Sales on East 183rd Street and St. Clair Avenue.

Authorities say the business owner opened the shop this morning and found the bodies of two women and a man, who was an employee of the family owned business.

Officials said the owner recognized one woman, but didn't get a close look at the other, Fox 8's Stacey Frey reports. Their names were not immediately released.

An investigator told Fox 8 News that the position of the bodies was "unusual."

Cleveland Councilmen Mike Polensek called the incident "troubling," but also noted that the owner had been doing his part to help police.

"The owner has been very cooperative, working with us to clean up the property," Polensek. "You get a knot in your stomach."

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office arrived at the scene around noon to assist with the investigation.
