LORAIN, Ohio — The person Lorain police dubbed the “Reese’s Cup Bandit” has finally been caught.

Lorain police say the candy napper is a 17-year-old male who they arrested at approximately 1 p.m. Friday.

They say he’s stolen up to $600 worth of Reece’s Cups from the same Sunoco Station on Oberlin Avenue since January.

“He’s been coming into the store for months. He comes in, picks up boxes of Reese’s Cups and walks out,” added Lt. Carpentiere.

The bandit lives near the Sunoco, enabling the teen to repeatedly make daring getaways. Authorities say he will likely be charged with theft, with possible robbery charges.
