Police: Camera Catches Man Breaking Into Cars

STREETSBORO, Ohio — The Streetsboro Police Department is trying to track down the person behind a string of car break-ins.

A man was caught on camera in the northwest part of the city on July 18.

According to Lt. Darin Powers, the man is believed to be connected to six break-ins that night on Hazelton Road, Sparrow Run and David Drive.

A vehicle was also broken into on July 17 in a different part of the city.

Powers said the man took GPS units, hand tools (such as drills and saws), car stereos, a CB radio, tire pump, battery charger, jumper cables, trailer hitch, CDs, sunglasses and even spare change.

All of the cars were locked at the time of the theft.
