Man Wanted in Fatal Akron Club Shooting

AKRON --The Akron Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Office Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force asked for the public's help in finding the man who shot through the windows of a nightclub, killing one person and injuring two others.

According to the Akron Police Department, Dontay Antonio Taylor, 22, was wanted for murder and felonious assault.

He should be considered armed and dangerous.

Around 11:30 p.m. on Monday, Taylor allegedly fired through the window of Embassy Lounge on Romig Road in Akron.

Police said he had been refused entry before taking the shots.

The Summit County medical examiner's office identified the deceased as Rashaan Price, 38, of Akron.

The Akron Police Department said Lamar Fitzgerald, 28, and Deanna May, 25 were also hurt.

“This is a family-owned business and we try to do things on the up and up," said manager Tre Smith.  "This is a situation that has come to a total shock to all of us.  Something that, we don’t have these type of problems up here."

Taylor's last known address was on Eva Avenue.
