OCEAN GATE, New Jersey — Crikey! A 3-foot-long crocodile was found braving the streets of Ocean Gate, New Jersey, officials said.

The reptile was found early Tuesday morning waddling along East Longport Avenue. Although the croc wasn’t fully grown, authorities said it still posed a potential danger to residents.

Berkeley Township Animal Control currently has custody of the crocodile. It is unknown right now if the animal was a pet. A special permit or license is needed for owning an exotic reptile like this in New Jersey.
