SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The City of South Euclid has begun a new automated trash and recycling program which will save taxpayers money and help the environment. According to city leaders the CartSMART Program will save taxpayers about $1.3 million over the next five years.
During the month of July, each home will receive two rolling carts, one for trash and one for recycling, at no charge. The carts have attached lids and are designed for use with the truck’s automated system, making collection and unloading cleaner, faster, more efficient. Since, recyclables do not need to be bagged or sorted, recycling is easier and more convenient.
