Bottle Bomb Tossed Into Yard Explodes During Resident’s Approach

CONCORD TWP., Ohio — The Lake County sheriff’s office has forwarded the case of an exploding homemade bottle bomb to the prosecutor’s office.

The device was allegedly thrown into the yard of an Oakridge Drive home in Concord Twp. by a passing car on July 10 around 11:04 p.m.

A male resident saw it happen and approached the bottle bomb.  It went off, but he was not injured.

The Lake County sheriff’s office said five males (including two adults and three juveniles) had knowledge of the incident and were involved.

Prosecutors will review the case to decide on possible criminal charges.
