PERRY, Ohio — People are warned not to be alarmed by the Perry Nuclear Power Plant’s routine siren test that will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

According to Larry Greene, the Emergency Management Director for Lake County, the alarms will sound for three minutes and will be heard in Lake County and portions of Geauga County and Ashtabula County.

The test will ensure that the sirens receive the signal and sound off properly.

The next quarterly test will be conducted in October.
