Drug Dealing Granny Sentenced, Avoids Jail
CLEVELAND — A grandmother who was charged with drug trafficking was sentenced on Thursday.
According to the Cuyahoga County prosecutor’s office, Frances Torres, 67, of Cleveland, must serve one year of probation.
Torres was accused of dealing various prescriptions drugs, such as oxycodone, between December 28, 2011 and January 13, 2012.
In May, she retracted her not guilty plea and entered a guilty plea to trafficking offenses and trafficking offenses with forfeiture specifications.
Torres was forced to turn over a cell phone, Jeep Liberty, two watches, three GPS units, a plasma TV, digital camera and over $400 to the state.
