SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio — A Garfield Heights man was arrested in connection to a murder that took place nearly six-years ago, Shaker Heights Police say.

According to Police Chief D. Scott Lee, a Cuyahoga County Grand Jury returned an indictment on Wednesday afternoon against Steven L. Rackley, 41, for charges of aggravated murder, kidnapping, aggravated robbery and tampering with evidence.

The charges stem from a November 8, 2006 incident where Mitchell Perry, 26, of Scottsdale Boulevard, was fatally stabbed.

Lee says Rackley was arrested on Tuesday, June 19, by the Shaker Heights Police Department but he did not provide information on the circumstances of his arrest.
