NEW MEXICO — A mother was arrested in front of her five small children earlier this month all because of overdue Twilight books and DVDs.

According to a LasVegasCBSLocal.com report, the woman was handcuffed and hauled off to jail over $36 worth of library books and DVDs not returned since being signed out in 2010.

According to the report, the woman’s attorney says arrest warrants related to the overdue materials were sent to a former address. The address, according to the attorney, is for a home that she had not lived in since her childhood.

The report states that the woman’s children, ages 1 to 10, spent the night with a neighbor as she sat in jail.

The woman’s charges were later dismissed.
