CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Police Department has arrested one individual in connection to a triple shooting over the weekend on the city’s east side.

According to Sgt. Sammy Morris, the individual arrested is an 18-year-old male. Fox 8 News is not identifying the individual because he has yet to be formally charged with a crime.

Morris tells Fox 8 News that officers were called to the 7400 block of Spafford Road, just before 5 p.m. Once there, they found two males and a female with gunshot wounds.

Cleveland EMS took the three victims to MetroHealth Medical Center, where their conditions are unknown.

According to Morris, a preliminary investigation revealed that two males in a silver minivan drove down Spafford Road and shot the victims.

According to an incident report, both the driver and passenger fired shots at the people on the porch. The report states the driver fired shots out the driver’s side window and the passenger firing shots out of the vehicle’s sunroof.

The suspects then drove off, and were last seen heading southbound on Jones Avenue.

A police officer at the scene told Fox 8 News that four assault weapons and a handgun were removed from a home near the shooting.
