CLEVELAND -- Some are seeking out the lowest gas prices while others are stumbling upon a surprise savings.

Either way, drivers seemed to be pleased on Monday when they filled up.

Nationally, Monday was the thirteenth straight day of the gas price decline, CNN reported, with the price of a gallon of regular poised at $3.411.

The average price in the Cleveland area was $3.423.

That's down a few pennies since the weekend and down a few dimes since the past week and month.

Last week a gallon of regular went for $3.645 in the Cleveland area.  Last month it sold for $3.716.

Local drivers were paying $3.384 a year ago.
