Can Your Smartphone Tell If You Are Depressed?
You rely on you smartphone for appointments, contacts, directions, the internet and darn near anything else you can think of. But can you now rely on your smartphone to tell you when you’re depressed?
According to a report in Bostinno.com, an analytics startup from the Boston area called Ginger.io is using abnormal phone behavior to determine a users level of depression.
According to the Bostinno.com report, if a smartphone user is prone to depression and stops taking calls and doesn’t return text messages sent from friends, the Ginger.io software identifies the behavior and contacts health care professionals.
