Orange High Bomb Plot Suspects in Court, Trial Dates Set

PEPPER PIKE, Ohio – A tentative trial date has been set for two of three teens who allegedly sent a series of e-mails last year to administrators at Orange High School, resulting the in the school closing for three days.

Maria Russo, with the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office, says that the teens appeared in juvenile court on Monday morning.

Russo adds that the trial for two of the teens will commence on September 24, 2012. The third teen has a pretrial hearing scheduled for June 19, 2012.

The teens are accused of sending bomb threats through an encrypted online server in November of last year.

All three boys, ages 16 and 17, previously entered not guilty plea to charges of inducing panic, telecommunications harassment and possession of criminal tools.
