CLEVELAND — Authorities, on Tuesday evening, arrested a man wanted for a Memorial Day murder. The arrest came approximately seven hours after Cleveland Division of Police Chief Michael McGrath asked for the public’s help in locating the “armed and dangerous” suspect.

Cleveland Police Det. Jennifer Ciaccia tells Fox 8 News that Robert Franks, 49, was apprehended by the Cuyahoga Heights Police Department.

Before his arrest, Franks was last spotted leaving a shooting scene in the 8200 block of Brinsmade Avenue on Monday. That’s where Jeffrey Antal, 56, was found shot to death in the backyard of a home.

Franks left the area on a silver-and-red bicycle with a red milk crate attached, police said.
