CLEVELAND — The Indians needed a lift after getting swept in Chicago.  They got a big one from their two young guns when they faced the Royals on Monday.

Called up from Columbus before the game, Lonnie Chisenhall, 23, wasted no time proving he belongs when he belted a solo shot in the third inning.

That sparked a five-run rally which included a two-run single by the Tribe’s other baby face, Jason Kipnis, 25, who finished with three hits.

Josh Tomlin returned from the DL and pitched well enough for his second win, and Chris Perez needed just nine pitches for his league-leading 17th save.

Indians beat the Royals, 8 to 5.

The teams return to Progressive Field on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. for another battle.
