(CNN) — For all you aspiring astronomers, break out your telescopes!

Tonight, sky watchers will be able to check out a half moon and Mars.

For those looking to spy the red planet, it will appear as a bright yellow-orange spot above and to the left of the moon.

Mars is actually moving away from earth, so this could be your best chance to see the planet for the next few months.
