AKRON, Ohio — The five men accused of plotting a bombing attack on the Route 82 Bridge in Brecksville are scheduled to be in court for a bond hearing Wednesday.

A federal judge scheduled the hearing for suspects Douglas Wright, Brandon Baxter, Anthony Hayne, Joshua Stafford and Connor Stevens. The detention hearing will decide if the five will be released on pretrial bond.

All five men have plead not guilty to several charges, including the attempted used of a weapon of mass destruction.

Prosecutors say they’re against releasing the suspects, while the defense is expected to request the trial be moved out of northeast Ohio.

Their trial is scheduled to begin September 17th.
