The Kent State Golden Flashes rode the pitching of starter Ryan Bores in coming from behind to beat Western Michigan, 12-3, in day two of the Mac Baseball Tourney at All-Pro Freight Stadium in Avon, Ohio, Thursday.

Bores went eight innings and allowed nine hits and three earned runs. A Troy Forton home run in the sixth inning put Western Michigan up 3-1, but the Golden Flashes roared back to take the lead and win going away.

Nick Hamilton delivered a pinch hit RBI with the bases loaded to bring Kent within one run (3-2) in the top of the seventh. His teammate, T.J. Sutton, brought home two with a double, and Kent State was in business, leading 4-3.

The Golden Flashes just piled on the runs as George Roberts ripped a grand slam homer, and Kent State posted a 12-3 win over Western Michigan.

The Golden Flashes have won the last three regular season titles in the MAC, and are pointing towards a third-straight MAC Tourney crown, should they take home the hardware from this weekends action in Avon.

KSU faces the winner of the Friday morning elimination battle between Western Michigan and Buffalo.
