Unprotected Man Survives Niagara Falls Plunge

NIAGARA FALLS, Ontario — A “very lucky” man has reportedly become the fourth-ever person to survive an unprotected plunge into Niagara Falls.

The Buffalo News reports that, on Monday morning, the man jumped into the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. It’s believed the still-unidentified man was attempting to commit suicide.

The Niagara Parks Police Service says that the man did indeed suffer life-threatening injuries, but other officials said he was expected to survive. Authorities called the man “very lucky.”
