CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Indians weren’t able to secure a win against the Texas Rangers Saturday, losing 5-2.

The Rangers jumped out to a 2-0 lead when Ian Kinsler singled in the third to score Mike Napoli giving Texas a 1-0 lead.

Then in the fourth, Mitch Moreland doubled to the right to score Nelson Cruz and Texas held that lead until the 8th.

That’s when the Indians rallied, Asdrubal Cabrera roped a double down the right field line scoring Michael Brantley which cut the Rangers lead to 2-1.

Later in the inning, Rangers catcher, Mike Napoli let a ball get by him, it rolled to the backstop and that allowed Jason Kipnis to tie the game at 2.

The Rangers blew the game open in the fifth, Adrian Beltre, who is batting .313 on the year sent Joe Smith’s pitch to deep center field. The 3-run shot was Beltre’s fifth home run of the season and all the Rangers needed in the 5-2 win.

Saturday’s loss makes the Indians’ record 5-8 at home and 14-11 overall. It snapped a three-game win streak.
