CLEVELAND — Cuyahoga County’s Office of Health and Human Services and County Executive Ed FitzGerald will be implementing a summer youth employment program that is expected to hire 2,000 individuals.

The program is being made possible thanks to $3.5 million that the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services made available to Cuyahoga County.

The summer youth program will assist low income eligible youth between the ages of 14-24. The 2000 youth who are selected for the jobs will earn at least the minimum wage.

According to FitzGerald’s office, more information regarding eligibility and the application process will be released in the near future.
