Gerber Recalls Baby Formula Due to Strange Smell

(CNN) – Gerber is recalling some powdered infant formulas due to consumer complaints of a strange smell.

The FDA says the recall is related to Gerber Good Start Gentle powdered infant formula in 23.2 ounce plastic packaging.

The product number is GXP1684 with an expiration date of March 5, 2013.

Gerber officials say the formula does not pose a health risk, but there have been some minor signs of gastrointestinal symptoms.

Consumers with the product can contact Gerber for a full refund.
