My Town: New Parking Procedures in Downtown Wooster

WOOSTER – The parking rules have changed for those with downtown residential parking permits.  The Wooster Police Department has updated the procedures and regulations.

All existing permits will no longer be valid as of April 1.  You must fill out a new registration form at the police department by March 31.  If you currently have a a permit you should bring it with you, along with:

1. Proof of residency (i.e. copy of lease)
2. Name, address and phone number
3. Vehicle description and license plate number
4. Landlord’s name and contact information

A tenant may obtain a $25-per-year permit for each vehicle registered in his or her name.

On-street parking is prohibited between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. The residential permit allows parking in off-street city lots overnight and in an off-street city lot three-hour-parking space lots during regular business hours.
