PARMA HEIGHTS – Police in Parma Heights want to know you’re okay so they are offering a FREE safety program for seniors, shut-ins and those who are disabled.  The “Are you OK?” program is a confidential telephone reassurance system.

After you sign up for the program, a computer will call at a specific time of day.  Once you answer the phone it knows you’re okay.  If the call goes to an answering machine or voice mail, the computer will call back in half an hour.  If there is still no answer, a police dispatcher will call friends and relatives for answers.  If no one knows where you are, an officer will come to your home to check on you.

Applications can be picked up at the Parma Heights Senior Center, 9275 N. Church Drive, or at the Parma Heights Police Department, 6184 Pearl Road.  To have an application mailed to you, call the Mayor’s office at
at 440-884-9600 x15
