Parma Police Locate, Arrest Suspected Rapist

PARMA, Ohio — A man suspected in several rapes has been arrested and is now in police custody, Fox 8 News reports.

Jerome H. Chavez Jr., 37, of Pelham Drive in Parma, had been wanted in connection with a series of rapes. The Parma Police Department tells Fox 8 News that he was located and apprehended at a residence in neighboring Brooklyn at 9:34 a.m. Friday.

The PPD on Thursday night first alerted the public that it was seeking Chavez. Authorities say he has a history of violent behavior and has been known to use weapons.
