(Fox4KC) — A 28-year-old woman has been charged with 2nd degree murder. Charleatha Nevins is accused of shooting and killing her husband on Monday night.

A witness told police he saw the victim collapse after being shot near 34th & Forest around 7:30 p.m. The witness says Nevins asked him to call 911 after the shooting.

Court records show Nevins told police she and her husband had argued over the use of a credit card. At one point, she said he punched her as she sat in the car. The woman also told police that they fought over a handgun and she then pulled the trigger.

Prosecutors requested a bond of $150,000.
