Medical Examiner Identifies Hamilton Avenue Murder Victim

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a murder victim who was found partially buried in the snow along Hamilton Avenue on Monday night.

The woman, Susan Cancasci, 59, of Mayfield Heights, died from blunt impact injuries to the head according to the medical examiner’s office. Cancasci also suffered skull fractures and cerebral contusions.

Cleveland Police Homicide Unit had already been investigating Cancasci’s murder after finding her partially buried in the snow with contusions and abrasions on her head and hands.

According to Sgt. Sammy Morris, Cancasci was found Monday at 10:46 a.m. in 3400 block of Hamilton Avenue.
