In October 2008, Leukemia and Lymphoma took the lives of Hope Violet Fimiani (age 2) and Michael Sparkman (age 7). Together their families established the non-profit foundation, A Spark of Hope, whose goal is to raise both resources and the public’s awareness of pediatric blood cancers to ultimately relieve the anguish endured by so many families affected by this terrible disease.
