MEDINA, Ohio — A spokesperson for the Medina Water Service Department tells Fox 8 News that a boil alert has been lifted.

The responsible pipe was fixed and water was restored by Thursday morning, but the boil alert continued until Friday afternoon for certain locations across the city.

The water main break occurred in the west end of the city on Wednesday evening. Water service had to be shut off so that crews could make the necessary repair.
