My Town: Goddard Community Games in Independence

The Goddard School in Independence invites neighbors to come out and participate in its Community Games.  From February 8 through February 10 the school will host events to help the local community.


Wednesday – February 8th – Good Deed Day – The public is invited to drop off canned goods and toiletries to be donated to a local pantry.

Thursday – February 9th – Goddard Cares Day – Students. parents, children and teachers will make as many cards as possible for our troops.

Friday – February 10th – Community Heroes Day – The independence K9 unit will meet the students and explain how they keep the community safe.

“Our school is excited to teach the children about giving and supporting the community,” said Paula Beverage, owner of Goddard School-Independence. “The teachers and children are anticipating a lot of fun and a great learning experience.”
