CLEVELAND— A fire that started inside a Cleveland Walmart during store hours was considered suspicious, Larry Gray with the Cleveland Division of Fire confirmed.

The flames started inside a dressing room at the Steelyard Commons location around 10:40 a.m. Tuesday.

Gray said store employees put out the fire with dry chemical before the fire department arrived.

The store was evacuated as a precaution.

One person suffered a minor hand injury and another suffered minor smoke inhalation.

The first refused treatment, the second was treated at the scene.

The dry chemical caused about $5,000 in damage to clothing.

Walmart closed after the fire and as of 4 p.m. Thursday did not say when it would reopen.

The fire is under investigation.
