DETROIT— The young Cavs got their first win of the season Wednesday in Detroit, taking care of the Pistons 105-89.

Cleveland had a balanced attack as six players were in double figures. The bench was especially effective totaling 56 points on the night.

The Cavs were led by Samardo Samuels, who was part of the bench bunch. He scored 17.

Another reserve, Ramon Sessions, dropped in 16, with seven rebounds, and six assists.

The overall number one pick of the draft, Kyrie Irving, atoned for a somewhat tough first night, scoring 14 points, dishing out seven assists and garnering four rebounds.

The Cavs scorched the nets all night long, shooting 57 percent from the field.

Cavs are back on the hardwood on Friday night against the Indiana Pacers, at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
