New public restrooms are on the way at Furnace Run Metro Park’s Brushwood Pavilion in Richfield.  Starting January 2nd, restrooms will be closed for around a month.  The park district is replacing the 23-year-old system with flushing toilets that meet ADA standards.  A portable unit will be available during construction.

Brushwood Pavilion is an enclosed, heated facility built in 1939.  It was originally used as a bath house.
