It’s not snowing yet, but it’s coming!  And when it does, there are plenty of places around Akron to enjoy sledding, skating and cross-country skiing.  Visitors can cross-country ski on the 33.5-mile Bike & Hike Trail and the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail.  Both can be accessed at multiple locations throughout Summit County.  Visit http://www.summitmetroparks.org/ for details.  A list of other winter sports locations follows.  Please remember to bring your own sleds, skates and/or skis.  And call the seasonal info line at 330-865-8060 to see if areas are open.
