You can make an impression on future generations by contributing to the Summit County Metropark’s Time Capsule on Monday December 19th at 7 p.m. at the F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm.  Naturalist Sara Putnam will talk about the park district’s 90 year history and create the time capsule.  The Metro Parks, formed in 1921 and originally called the Akron Metropolitan Park District, was the second city park system in Ohio.  “History is made every day in the Metro Parks,” said Christine Hockman, manager of interpretive services. “The artifacts, documents and photos in the time capsule will preserve the park district’s rich heritage for future generations.”  The Nature Realm is located at 1828 Smith Road.
