Shoppers in South Euclid have a new place to save money and support those with developmental disabilities at the same time.  A new Just-A-Buck store has opened in the Maymore Shopping Center at the corner of Mayfield and Green Roads.

Solutions at Work (SAW), Inc., which is the nonprofit partner of Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities, owns and operates the franchise store.  It employs 15 workers with developmental disabilities who handle stocking and receiving, cleaning, check-out and bagging.

The store, which opened November 21, is SAW’s second Just-A-Buck location.  The first opened in the Midtown Shopping Center in Parma in 2009.

“We are thrilled to bring Just-A-Buck to South Euclid.  Many of our customers have asked for an East Side location,” said SAW Executive Director Rich Hoban.  “The city and Mayor [Georgine] Welo have been extremely helpful and enthusiastic about our arrival.”

As the name suggests, nothing in the store costs more than a dollar and includes card and party supplies, health and beauty aides, housewares, food and candy.  Store hours are 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday.
