Find the perfect gift made by local artists and enjoy wonderful holiday decorations at Downtown Akron’s Artwalk on Saturday, December 3rd from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.  The artwalk happens monthly, but the this month’s holiday version has some extra-special elements, including Northside Loft’s NOTO Winter Wonderland.  They’ll have entertainment, appetizers, great gifts, prizes and more.  Guests can be part of the art as well.  Stop by Summit Artspace between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. where artist Mark Soppeland is hosting an interactive workshop.  Pieces created will be included in his Downtown window installation, “Visions of Innovation and Invention.”  It will be unveiled at First Night Akron on Saturday, December 31st.   Bring images representing Science, Technology, Engineering and Math as well as shiny materials.

The term “walk” is used loosely…as the trolley takes people around to the galleries, restaurants and art spaces.  For the holidays, the trolley loop is enhanced to include Akron’s Holidayfest.  Parking is free at Northside (near Luigi’s), in the lot across from Summit Artspace (between Broadway and Summit Streets), and in the High/Market Street Parking Deck.  For more information and a full list of planned events, visit .
