12 Taken To Area Hospitals After RTA Bus Accident

12 people were taken to different hospitals in the area after a car drove into the path of an RTA bus on Thursday afternoon.

Mary McCahon, Media Relations Manager for RTA, says the accident took place around 2:20 p.m. on Euclid Avenue near East 89th Street.

According to McCahon, both the car and bus were heading west on Euclid Avenue when the car turned left from the right lane, into the path of the oncoming bus.

The bus struck the left side of the car before coming to a stop.

Two individuals from the car were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center with undisclosed injuries. 10 individuals on the bus were taken to area hospitals for treatment. According to McCahon the conditions of the victims aboard the bus is unknown.
