  • Man charged in murder of woman found in garbage can appears in court

    CLEVELAND, Ohio — A man charged in the murder of a Cleveland Heights woman will face a judge Thursday morning. Miriam Johnson disappeared in February before her body was found stuffed in a garbage can a month later. Yaphet Bradley, 35, is the father of Johnson’s three children. He faces 15 charges, including of murder. Calvin Young, 24, also faces charges. He’s accused of helping Bradley dispose of Johnson’s body. Continuing coverage.

    STREETSBORO, Ohio — Police have identified the brothers involved a shooting that killed an 11-year-old in Streetsboro Monday night.     STREETSBORO, Ohio — Streetsboro City Schools released a short statement this morning regarding a fifth-grader who was killed by his brother Monday night.   • Crews respond to four-car crash in Lake County

    LAKE COUNTY, Ohio — A portion of North Ridge Road in Perry Township was closed after a four-car crash that flipped two vehicles. According to the Lake County Sheriff, it happened at just before 6 a.m. near Call Road in Perry Township. All four lanes were shut down following the crash but have since been reopened.       CLEVELAND, Ohio — A mother and her boyfriend have been arrested and are facing charges of involuntary manslaughter after the woman’s 2-year-old son died from a drug overdose. According to court documents, John Hines Jr., 33, is accused of bringing illegal narcotics into the East 140th Street home of his girlfriend, Tessa Gadd, 24, on March 3.
