    I-77N ramp to I-480W reopens after semi rollover

    INDEPENDENCE, Ohio — The ramp from Interstate 77 North to Interstate 480 West has reopened after a semi rolled over Thursday afternoon. Police say there were reported injuries.     West Shoreway being renamed ‘Governor Richard F. Celeste Shoreway’

    A portion of state Route 2 known as the West Shoreway has been designated the Richard F. Celeste Shoreway. The designation was part of the passage of Senate Bill 159. The portion of road starts in Lakewood and connects to Cleveland. Celeste served two terms as Ohio governor from 1983 to 1991. Celeste and his brother, former Rep.     Police search for suspect in restaurant break-in

    NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio — Police are trying to identify the suspect accused of breaking into a restaurant in New Philadelphia. It happened at just before 3 a.m. on May 23. The suspect broke into the Tlaquepaque Restaurant, 601 Wabash Ave. N.W., and stole a cash drawer. Anyone who might recognize the suspect is asked to call New Philadelphia police.

    Three cars set on fire overnight in Cleveland

    CLEVELAND, Ohio — Police in Cleveland are investigating after several cars were set ablaze overnight. Police say they aren’t sure what time the cars were targeted. But two were burned on Colonnade Road and one on Lampson Road. Arson investigators were on scene Wednesday morning. Authorities say it’s the same area that was targeted back in mid-March. Six cars in the Lampson and Endora roads area were set on fire at that time. The fires are still under investigation.

    COLUMBUS, Ohio —  Goddard’s Law has passed and will be official after Governor Kasich signs it. Goddard’s Law, or House Bill 60, will make it a fifth-degree felony to knowingly cause serious physical harm to a companion animal. That includes depriving a pet of food, water or shelter, or inflicting long-term pain.
