    Thieves take sedatives, painkillers from animal clinic in Wayne County

    WAYNE COUNTY, Ohio — Thieves took thousands of pills after breaking into an Orrville animal clinic overnight Monday. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office confirms to FOX 8 that a significant amount of drugs were taken from the Country Corner Animal Clinic, including 2,400 Tramadol pills and nearly 1,400 Phenobarbital pills. Liquid Ketamine, liquid Fentanyl and Narcan were also taken. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office; all information will be kept confidential.

    Perfect day for a Blizzard! It’s Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day

    Thursday is Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day, which will benefit local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. One dollar or more from every Blizzard sold at participating Dairy Queen locations will go to the hospitals. Every minute 62 children enter a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital for treatment.     Two injured in house fire on Cleveland’s east side

    CLEVELAND, Ohio — Two people were taken to the hospital after a fire on the east side of Cleveland Thursday morning. Firefighters were called to a home in the 2900 block of East 128th Street at around 6 a.m. An elderly man suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to the hospital.     Man accused of killing mother, hurting sister in hammer attack

    NEWCOMERSTOWN, Ohio — A man has been arrested for killing his mother and injuring his sister in a violent hammer attack. According to Newcomerstown Police Department, it happened at just after 1 p.m. Friday at a 139 Nugent Street home. When officers arrived, they found Jane A. Davis, 53, dead. Her daughter, Cynthia M.     Firefighters on scene of house, barn fire in Montville Township

    MONTVILLE, Ohio — Firefighters are at the scene of a house and barn fire in Montville Township. According to the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office, the fire broke out this morning at 16351 Hart Road. Everyone was able to get out of the home, according to authorities.     Spirit Airlines expanding to Akron-Canton Airport

    AKRON, Ohio — Spirit Airlines is coming to the Akron-Canton Airport.  According to a release from the airport, non-stop flights to and from Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers and Tampa will be added starting Nov. 10, 2016.
