    ELYRIA, Ohio — Elyria City School District issued a safety alert to parents after a female student said a man told her to “get in his car” while exposing himself. According to the alert sent to all parents, it happened Wednesday. A black male in a gold/tan SUV was traveling east on the Third Street bridge when he reportedly pulled alongside two students.     Interstate 90 westbound reopened after crash in Kirtland Hills

    KIRTLAND HILLS, Ohio — Interstate 90 westbound is back open after a crash in the Kirtland Hills area. The crash involved a semi and a car. One person was taken to the hospital via medical helicopter. According to the Lake County Sheriff, the accident happened on Interstate 90 westbound just past the rest area.     Father accused of shooting daughter in Rocky River

    ROCKY RIVER, Ohio — A man is in custody after allegedly shooting his 27-year-old daughter. It happened on Vine Court in Rocky River around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. The woman’s brother called 911 after the shooting. She was taken to Fairview Hospital, but there is no word on her condition. Her father, Jamal T.     At least 3 hurt in Cleveland apartment fire

    CLEVELAND, Ohio — At least three people were hurt in an apartment fire in Cleveland overnight. The fire broke out at just after 3 a.m. at an apartment building on West 112th Street and Clifton Boulevard. At least three people were taken to the hospital.     Fraudster using name of U.S. Marshal in bench warrant scam

    CLEVELAND, Ohio — The U.S. Marshals Service is warning the public of a telephone scam in which the caller identifies himself as Pete Elliott, the U.S. Marshal for the Northern District of Ohio. According to a press release, when the caller contacts members of the public, he alleges they have an active federal arrest warrant or bench warrant. They demand payment of fines. The U.S. Marshals Service has received information from several residents who were contacted from phone number 937-964-2422. […]
