    Man charged with murder in shooting death of Twinsburg woman after traffic crash

    SOLON, Ohio — A 29-year-old  North Ridgeville man has been charged with murder in a shooting that killed a Twinsburg woman. Matthew Ryan Desha, 29, is expected to appear in court Monday morning. The incident happened Saturday. According to police, Deborah Pearl, 53, was traveling north on Richmond Road in Solon, and as she entered the intersection at Solon Road, Desha went through the red light, striking Pearl’s car.     Cleveland Browns cut Austin Davis, Nick Hayden, Paul Kruger

    CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Browns have cut players Austin Davis, Nick Hayden and Paul Kruger. The Browns made the announcement Monday morning. Davis was a quarterback, Hayden a defensive lineman and Kruger a linebacker.     Man arrested in death of woman hit near Lorain County Fair

    WELLINGTON, Ohio — A woman was hit by a car and killed just outside the Lorain County Fair Sunday night. The victim was a 38-year-old Lorain woman. Her name has not been released. According to the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office, it happened at about 9 p.m. on Fairgrounds Road. When crews arrived, they found the woman in the roadway.     ASHTABULA CO., Ohio — The Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after three truck drivers were robbed at gunpoint at locations in Austinburg Township and Kingsville. The first incident happened at McDonald’s in Austinburg Township on Aug. 23. The second incident happened at Pilot in Austinburg Township on Aug. 24, and the third happened about 30 minutes later on Aug. 24 at Travel America in Kingsville.     MENTOR, Ohio — The Mentor Lake Catholic football team is starting this season with a loss. The Cleveland Diocese confirms that the team will forfeit Saturday’s game against Toledo St. John’s Jesuit High School due to recent allegations of hazing. A John Carroll University police incident report dated July 27 states the hazing incident happened on campus on July 11. It lists two victims and five suspects.     CLEVELAND– Local veterans and partners of those who served in the military got the flight of a lifetime Thursday. The group of men and women from Parker Place Retirement got to take part in a ‘Dream Flight’ on a 1940s Boeing Stearman. The Dream Flights are coordinated by Ageless Aviation Dreams Foundation, a non-profit that focuses on honoring seniors and United States military veterans.
