    Police: 3 arrested in ‘random act of violence’ against teen

    NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio — Three males have been arrested in the assault and robbery of a 16-year-old male back in August. According to North Ridgeville Police Department, the assault happened on Aug. 9. Police say the assault was “a random act of violence, and the victim had no connection to any of the suspects involved.” Derrick Foster, 18, and Donte Dower, 18, face charges of aggravated robbery, felonious assault and theft.     Road collapse leaves gaping hole in Shaker Heights street

    SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio — Authorities are asking drivers in Shaker Heights to avoid the Larchmere Boulevard area after a road collapse. It happened Saturday afternoon, leaving a gaping hole in the street. According to authorities, drivers are asked to avoid the Larchmere Boulevard east/westbound/Kendall Road/East 129th Street areas. It’s not clear how long repairs on the road may take.

    Police search for suspect in credit card theft

    CLEVELAND, Ohio — Police are searching for a man suspected of taking a bag and multiple credit cards from a car in Cleveland earlier this month. According to Cleveland police, it happened Sept. 7 at Searsdale and State. The victim parked her car at the location, and when she came back, a bag containing multiple credit cards was missing.     Man armed with pistol robs bank teller

    SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio — Police are asking for help finding the suspect in an armed robbery at a Shaker Heights bank. According to the Cleveland Division of the FBI, it happened at about 10:14 a.m. Saturday. A gloved and masked man entered Huntington Bank, 20601 Fairmont Blvd., brandished a silver pistol and demanded money from the teller.     LIMA, Ohio — Union staff at the Allen Oakwood Correctional Institution claims they warned the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections that an escape was being planned at the facility.     Body of elderly man missing from nursing home found in Cleveland Metroparks

    CLEVELAND, Ohio –Middleburg Heights Police have confirmed that a man missing from an area nursing home has been found dead in Cleveland Metroparks. According to Metroparks officials, the body of Ronald Herhuth, 71, was found around noon Friday. Family of Herhuth, along with several area law enforcement agencies, has been searching for him since he was last seen Sunday night at a Middleburg Heights nursing home.
