  • Bond continued for woman charged in deaths of 2 Coventry Township teens

    COVENTRY TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The woman accused of hitting and killing two teens walking along the road in Coventry Township last month appeared in court Wednesday. Natasha R. Boggs, 24, of New Franklin, cried throughout the hearing. Her attorney asked that bond be lowered, adding that she has a 6-year-old son,  lives with family and has a full-time job.   • Police say they have suspect in 2015 murder at Akron pizza shop

    AKRON, Ohio — Authorities in Akron plan to release details Thursday regarding “new developments” in the 2015 shooting death of a 21-year-old man in his family’s Akron pizza shop. Akron police said no one has been charged in the case, but they have identified a suspect.   • 16-year-old girl from Portage County found safe after Missing Child Advisory issued

    PORTAGE COUNTY, Ohio — Authorities had asked for help finding a 16-year-old girl who went missing early this morning. But, at just before noon, the Portage County Sheriff’s Office said  Savannah Hopper was located and is safe. No other details including where she was found were immediately available.   • FBI asking for help identifying ‘person of interest’ in child sex exploitation case

    CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Office of FBI is asking for the public’s help identifying  a man who is a person of interest in a child sexual exploitation investigation. According to a press release, the man, known as John Doe 38, is described as being between 40 and 60 with grayish-brown hair, balding at the crown of the head.   • Cleveland officer treated and released from hospital for possible fentanyl exposure

    CLEVELAND, Ohio — A Cleveland police officer was taken to the hospital for possible fentanyl exposure Wednesday morning. According to Cleveland police, the officer was exposed to the possible fentanyl during the execution of a drug search in the 17900 block of Brazil Road.     FREMONT, Ohio — Authorities are searching for two male inmates who escaped from the Sandusky County Jail Monday. WTOL reports that Jordan Chapman, 26, and Mickey Hardy, 37, are on the loose. Chapman has braided hair. He is 5’7″ tall and 140 pounds. He was charged with receiving stolen property, tampering with evidence and a parole violation. Hardy has a beard.     BRUNSWICK, Ohio — Investigators say an apparent murder-suicide in Brunswick may have been prompted when the suspect was allegedly asked to move out. According to Brunswick police, officers were called to 4290 Bennington Blvd. for reports of shots fired at just before 7 p.m. Sunday.
