  • Brooklyn police: 19-year-old man, dog, fatally shot in home

    BROOKLYN — The Brooklyn Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a 19-year-old man who appeared to be killed inside his home Friday evening. It happened just after midnight in the 4700 block of Elizabeth Lane. Police say a woman called 911 to report that her stepson and dog had been shot in her home.   • Vermilion schools announce passing of head football coach

    VERMILION, Ohio — The community of Vermilion is mourning the loss of its high school football coach, Matt Kobal. “Our entire school community is mourning the loss of Matt Kobal tonight. He was a wonderful teacher, colleague and friend,” the school district posted on its Facebook page Friday night.     CLEVELAND — Representatives from more than 100 churches from across the region have come together at Quicken Loans Arena today to honor the 26 victims of the massacre at First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, earlier this month.     MENTOR, Ohio — Hundreds of community members, safety force workers, friends and family are expected at the funeral for two brothers who were tragically killed in a car accident Wednesday morning in Ashtabula County.     CLEVELAND — The FOX I-Team has uncovered new developments in the investigation into the robbery and murder of a married couple at the used car lot they ran on Cleveland’s east side.   • St. Matthew’s Church in North Royalton heavily damaged by fire

    NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio — Fire officials are investigating the cause of a blaze that ripped through Saint Matthew the Evangelist Church in North Royalton Saturday morning. It happened at around 9 a.m. at the church on Albion Road, when someone inside called to report the fire.   • Driver charged with hitting, killing baby in stroller enters not guilty plea

    CLEVELAND — The driver accused of striking a woman who was pushing her 1-year-old son in a stroller back in September entered a not guilty plea through his lawyer in Cleveland Municipal Court today.
