    Friday Night Touchdown Commissioner Dan Coughlin put on his playoff pass and headed to Avon where the Eagles hosted the Toledo St. Francis Knights.  The Eagles continue to soar through their perfect season as they won 38-14.   • FNTD Week #10: PJ Wraps Up The Regular Season

    PJ Ziegler wrapped up the regular season watching the Wadsworth Grizzlies battle the Nordonia Knights.  It was a back and forth battle but the Grizzlies got the 34 -33 win.  The Knights scored 33 points in the first half but went scoreless in the second half.  Wadsworth’s Martice Jackson carried the load finishing with 207 yards on 38 carries.     Friday Night Touchdown Commissioner Dan Coughlin put on his winter coat and headed to Columbia Station where he saw the Columbia Raiders beat the Clearview Clippers 49-22.  It’s the first time in school history that the Raiders were a perfect 10-0. Columbia was led by quarterback Jay Banyasz and running back Jacob Kleinhenz. Kleinhenz rushed for 188 yards and four touchdowns.  Banyasz finished the season with 28 touchdowns, no interceptions.     Fox 8’s John Telich had a busy evening starting in Mayfield where the Wildcats battled the Shaker Heights Red Raiders.  The Wildcats hung on to win 32-26.  Shaker came back in the second half  scoring 20 points but it wasn’t enough to tame the Wildcats.   The last time these two teams squared off was back in 1936.     Our Friday Night Touchdown Game of the Week was a battle of 8-1 teams.  The Norton Panthers were on the road to take on the Kent Roosevelt Rough Riders.  It was a battle but in the end the Rough Riders got the 21-12 victory. Quarterback Dustin Monaco had a good night as he threw two touchdowns to Luther Fortson.  The Rough Riders finished the season 9-1 and will likely find themselves in the postseason.     CLEVELAND — Week #9 of Friday Night Touchdown continued Saturday with two outstanding games in Division I: #3 St. Edward faced the new #1 team in the AP Poll, Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller, while #6 St. Ignatius hosted Cincinnati St. Xavier. It was a tale of two halves at Lakewood Stadium, as St. Edward raced out to a 24-0 lead.     Our Friday Night Touchdown Commissioner Dan Coughlin put on his hat and gloves and headed West!  Dan’s first stop at George Daniel Field where Lorain hosted Cleveland Heights.  The Tigers were up 34-13 at the half and they never looked back! Cleveland Heights is now 8-1 with the 47-24 victory.     Our Friday Night Touchdown Game of the Week was an Akron City Series showdown between the Akron Garfield Golden Rams and the undefeated Akron Ellet Orangemen.  Ellet got the 30-14 win to stay undefeated.   The Orangemen were led by running back Matt Greer who scored two touchdowns and quarterback Jake Fisher who threw for another.     Fox 8’s John Telich started his evening with the undefeated Kirtland Hornets hosting the Beachwood Bison. It was the Sam Kukura show as he rushed for 202 yards and four touchdowns for Kirtland.  They won big 52-12. He then headed to Euclid to see the Panthers battle the Maple Heights Mustangs.   The Panthers won 18-12 behind the arm of quarterback Terrence Duckworth who threw three touchdown passes.  Both teams are now 4-5.
