  • FNTD Playoff Edition: Tarblooders Beat the Bearcats

    It was a back and forth battle but the Glenville Tarblooders held off the Bedford Bearcats for a 26-12 victory.  The game was tied through three quarters but then the Tarblooders offense woke up!  Quan Robinson Jr. threw two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.   • FNTD Playoff Edition: Division II Tussles

    Friday Night Touchdown Commissioner Dan Coughlin put on his hat and headed to Akron where the Highland Hornets held off the Massillon Tigers for a 17-14 victory. Highland was led by running back Alex Harris who rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown.  Quarterback Bruce Kinsey had  75 yards on the ground and passed for 110 yards.   • FNTD Player of the Year: Jay Banyasz

    The Friday  Night Touchdown crew is happy to select Jay Banyasz as our Player of the Year. He led the Columbia Raiders to an undefeated season.  The senior quarterback threw for 28 touchdowns, rushed for 10 and even had a defensive touchdown!  He joined us in our studio to pick up his award!   • FNTD Playoff Edition: The Eagles Survive The Yellow Jackets

    It was quite a nail biter for the Avon Eagles as they hung on to win 24-21 over the  Perrysburg Yellow Jackets.  The Eagles were careless with the ball as quarterback Tommy Glenn threw four interceptions.   He didn’t let that bother him as he drove his team down for a game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter.  He finished the night 18 of 30 for 187 yards.   • FNTD Playoff Edition: Fighting Irish Stay Perfect

    We kicked off our Friday Night Touchdown coverage with the SVSM Fighting Irish beating the Poland Seminary Bulldogs 35-7.  The Fighting Irish led 14-0 at halftime and never looked back.  The Irish defense came up huge once again as they didn’t allow an offensive touchdown. Parris Campbell led the Irish with 17 carries for 117 yards and one touchdown.  Poland Seminary running back Ross Gould had 26 carries for 104 yards. For more Friday Night Touchdown fun click here!

  • FNTD Playoff Edition: Skyfox Sky Scores

    Skyfox wrapped up the season with blue skies and plenty of sky scores!  Skyfox first checked in on the Hubbard Eagles against the Aurora Greenmen.  The Eagles soared against the Greenmen 49-19. Skyfox then flew to Niles to see the Struthers Wildcats take on the Youngstown Mooney Cardinals and it was all about the Cardinals as they won 42-14.

    Friday Night Touchdown’s P.J. Ziegler sipped on his hot chocolate and took in the Avon Lake versus Highland game at Serpentini Stadium.  It was a back and forth battle but Highland hung on to win 28-21. Highland was led by quarterback Bruce Kinsey who threw for two touchdowns and rushed for 159 yards on 24 carries.  Hornets running back Alex Harris had 16 carries for  59 yards and two touchdowns.  The Hornets move on to play Massillon.   • FTND Playoff Edition: Another Win For The Fighting Irish

    Friday Night Touchdown Playoff Edition kicked off with Kenston taking on powerhouse Akron St. Vincent St. Mary.   The Fighting Irish led 42-0 at halftime and never looked back as they won 52-7 to stay undefeated on the season. SVSM was led by running back Parris Campbell Jr. as he rushed for 105 yards and four touchdowns.  The undefeated Irish will play Poland Seminary in the regional semifinal.     Friday Night Touchdown’s John Telich put on his hat and gloves and headed to Bedford Stadium where the Brush Arcs battled the Glenville Tarblooders.  The Tarblooders were too tough as they blanked Brush 35-0. The Arcs were careless with the ball as they turned it over four times. Glenville led 14-0 at the half and added 14 more in the 3rd quarter.  The Tarblooders will now face Bedford.     Skyfox cleaned up and ready for Friday Night Touchdown Playoff Edition!  Skyfox started the evening in Canfield where Cuyahoga Heights played at South Range. Skyfox then flew to check out Cortland Lakeview at Struthers. It’s last stop in Youngstown where Youngstown Mooney hosted John Hay.
