  • Streetsboro police investigating after juvenile dies in shooting

    STREETSBORO, Ohio – Streetsboro police have confirmed they are investigating after a juvenile sustained a fatal gunshot wound. Police say just after 9:30 p.m. Monday, they and the Streetsboro Fire Department  responded to Alden Drive for a report of a juvenile with a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported the juvenile to a hospital where the juvenile was pronounced dead.   • Sandusky council approves ban on tobacco in city parks

    SANDUSKY, Ohio –  Sandusky’s city commission has voted to ban smoking, smokeless tobacco and vaping in all city parks. The ban passed by a 5-2 vote Monday evening. The ban includes the piers, plazas, bike paths, city golf courses and marinas. Anyone caught smoking will be subject to a misdemeanor charge. The ban goes into effect on May 23rd. The statement, released by Jim McGrath Monday evening, says that President Bush was admitted to Houston Methodist Hospital Sunday morning after contracting an infection that spread to his blood. He is responding to treatments and appeared to be recovering Monday evening.     CANTON, Ohio – A recycling company warehouse was destroyed Sunday in a late night Stark County fire. Firefighters from Canton and surrounding communities battled the flames at the  Slesnick Paper and Plastic Recyclers on 3rd St. SE starting at around 10 p.m. Sunday.
