Fox Recipe Box: Pork Chops with Cinnamon Apple Cherry Chutney

CLEVELAND, Oh -- Cinnamon, apples and cherries combine to create a perfect pork chop topping. Chef Ken Hatfield's from Hatfield's Goode Grub showed Fox 8's Kristi Capel how easy it is to make  chutney from scratch that pairs perfect with pork.

Pork Chops with Cinnamon Apple Cherry Chutney

Pork Chop:

Salt pepper
Lemon pepper
1Tbl  canola oil
In large skillet heat oil, add salt pepper, lemon pepper to chop Add to pan sear 4-5 minutes a side checking to see if cooked through

Apple Cherry Cinnamon Chutney:

1 serving
1 Tbl butter
1 tbl brown sugar
1tsp Cinnamon
1/2 honey crisp apple
1/2 Granny Smith Apple
1tbl dried cherries
1/4 yellow onion jullianed
1/4 cup chicken stock

In sauté pan ad butter onion cherries apples sauté until apples soak up butter add chicken stock cinnamon brown sugar toss until desired look pour over chop

Hillbilly Rice:

1 cup par boiled rice
3 bay leaves
2 cups water
1/4 stick butter
1/4 cup corn
1 green bell pepper
1 chopped onion
1/2 tsp garlic
Salt pepper

Boil water add rice, bay leaves and 1/2 butter. Reduce heat and cover In frying pan sauté w/ butter onions peppers garlic corn add finished rice toss together add salt pepper
